Comic Book Mini Museum
We believe that a comic book convention should be more than just transactional. It should include the opportunity to buy great comics, but it should be more. Monument Comic Expo will have a mini museum each year. I spend countless hours researching and acquiring comics to tell a story about an artist or era.
In 2026, I showcased Bronze Age Horror comics. Since I’ve written extensively on www.blog.comicspriceguide.com, this seems like the ideal place to begin our exhibits. That display included cover from artists like Neal Adams, Bernie Wrightson, Mike Kaluta and others.
2027 will showcase the artistic talents of Tom Sutton. Charlton was a low-cost publisher who let artists experiment. Basically, we cannot pay much but you are free to create all sorts of craziness. It was the ideal situation for the wildly creative Tom Sutton.

DC Special #6 – In an interview, Neal Adams named this book as his favorite cover. He loved telling a story and this cover has a lot to say.
House of Secrets #123 – Frank Robbins created one House of Secrets cover, and this is it. If you could only do one cover, make it special!
Tomb of Dracula #2 – John Severin cover with fantastic mood and storytelling.
House of Secrets #92 – An absolute masterpiece by Bernie Wrightson that captures the mood and the moment before she discovers Swamp Thing.
